PM Modi Calls on Leading Indian Gamers to Create ‘Swachh Bharat’ Game: Aiming for Every Child’s Participation

During a discussion with top Indian gamers, PM Modi proposed that the ‘Swachh Bharat’ game should focus on cleanliness and be accessible to every child.

PM Modi launched the second phases of Swachh Bharat and AMRUT, aiming to make cities garbage-free and rivers pollution-free.

PM Modi noted India’s progress in waste processing, increasing from 20% to 70% since 2014, aiming for 100% to enhance living standards. Total project cost: ₹4.4 lakh crores.

PM Modi underscored the enduring nature of cleanliness, asserting its significance as a perpetual endeavor. It involves the collective commitment of successive generations, transcending mere temporal or individual efforts.

    The Second Phase

In the second phase, Swachh Bharat will emphasize effective waste management, while AMRUT will improve sewerage systems to ensure water security in Indian cities. Additionally, all towns will meet sanitation standards set by the urban development ministry.

Amrut 2.0 expands to cover 4,700 cities, providing water taps to 26.8 million urban households. Swachh Bharat targets liquid waste management in smaller cities and removing legacy dump sites.

    Engaged with Gamers

In the next phase, Swachh Bharat will prioritize effective waste management, while AMRUT will improve sewerage and septic systems for water security in cities. Additionally, all towns will meet sanitation standards set by the urban development ministry.

    The Swachh Bharat Progress

4,798 municipal bodies have signed agreements with the government. Also, approximately 350,000 toilets will be built.

Modi, personally invested in Swachh Bharat’s success, highlighted a significant increase in urban development funding, from ₹1.25 lakh crore to nearly ₹4 lakh crore, focusing on cleanliness, waste management, and sewage treatment plants.

PM noted toilets’ impact on society, citing increased work and school attendance for women and girls, emphasizing both personal and social hygiene improvements.
